In order to update a device driver and related software to the newest, we recommend you to use all_package.exe.

The Device Driver (STI driver ) is necessary for the particular scanner model to be recognized in the Windows environment.

Note:

** Windows 7 and Windows8 :  USB interface is supported but SCSI interface is not supported. The description for Windows 7 and Windows 8 is not in the manual yet.

This software allows for customizing the color to be dropped out when scanning.

This software performs the Automatic Image Orientation function for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Russian when using Application Software and/or Interface Drivers. The Automatic Image Orientation function can be used for TWAIN driver, ISIS driver and Image Capture Plus. Also this software performs the searchable PDF creation function, High-compression PDF function and OCR zone function used only for Image Capture Plus. It will not function independently.

*** When using version 2.0.0.14 of Image Capture Plus with OCR Engine Software, use version 1.6 of OCR Engine Software.

* This software is an updated version. So, it is required to have installed an old version of Image Capture Plus with CD including it in your PC before you install this software.

Image Capture Plus is an application that transfers image data scanned by a Panasonic high-speed document scanner to a PC in the form of an image file and attached as standard.

* The OCREngine software installation after downloading is required to upgrade the searchable PDF creation function , High-compression PDF function and OCR zone function.
   But an old version of OCREngine software must be installed with a CD including Image Capture Plus in advance to install the downloaded OCREngine software.

* In case you use Panasonic High Speed scanner with this software, it is necessary to update the Device Driver (STI driver) to the latest version as well. It can be downloaded from here.

* In case you use the Automatic Image Orientation function, it is necessary to install the IDR Engine Software (IDREngine) after downloading it from here.

* Execute the downloaded file, then installer starts up immediately.

RTIV is application software that scans documents from the scanner and effectively produces the image file on PC.

*1 You can install this RTIV Update in the case you use the scanner in which an old version of RTIV is bundled. You must have installed an old version of RTIV in your PC before installing the Update.

*2 From RTIV ver 3.2 or later, some operation methods to set the scanning condition are altered in order to provide some new functions and to improve the usability.

*3 In case you use the Multicolor Drop Out function with the KV-S1020C, KV-S1025C, KV-S1045C, KV-S7065C, KV-S7075C, KV-S3065CW/L, KV-S4065CW/L, KV-S4085CW/L, KV-SS905C or KV-S3105C, it is necessary to update the Multicolor Drop Out utility to the latest version as well. It can be downloaded from here.

*4 The Automatic Deskew function of RTIV ver 3.X or later requires a black reference roller. In case you update RTIV from ver 2.X to ver 3.X or later, and use it with KV-S6040W/KV-S6045W/KV-S2055L/KV-S2055W, it will not work properly. It is because they have a white reference roller. Please replace the white roller with the black one, since it will be provided as an option. In case you are a user of KV-SS25 or KV-SS55 or KV-SS855, we are afraid that you cannot use the Automatic Deskew with RTIV ver 3.X or later.

*5 In case you use the Automatic Image Orientation function with the KV-S1020C, KV-S1025C, KV-S1045C, KV-S2026C, KV-S2046C, KV-S2028C, KV-S2048C, KV-S7065C, KV-S7075C, KV-S3065CW/L, KV-S4065CW/L, KV-S4085CW/L, or KV-S3105C, it is necessary to install the version 1.3 of IDR Engine Software (IDREngine) from here.

Image Capture Software is a new application software provided by Panasonic. It scans documents using Panasonic scanners and stores image files on your PC just like RTIV. The difference from RTIV is the page-editing capabilities, like page shuffle which makes the operation easier with the use of thumbnail images. If you don't often use these functions, RTIV may be more convenient.
Any customer who uses a Panasonic document scanner listed below is allowed to use this software without any restriction.

"Instant Scanning Software" is a new concept application software that provides simple and secure network scanning.
For further information, please refer to "Summary".
Any customer who uses a Panasonic document scanner listed below is allowed to use this software without any restriction.

This application software consists of Document Manager and Document Viewer. Document Manager is an application for managing documents (image files). By utilizing the Document Manager and Document Viewer in combination, a number of documents (image files) can be classified, managed, browsed, and edited.

If it is not required to use the added functions, please use version 1.1. This beta version ISIS driver has not been certified by Pixel Translations(present EMC Corporation). Therefore, the message of "A driver installed on this system has not been certified by Pixel Translations. ...." is indicated when the "Select Driver" menu is selected. However it works normally except for it.

When using the Automatic Image Orientation function for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Russian, the OCREngine software must be installed.
But an old version of OCREngine software must be installed with a CD including ISIS driver in advance to install the downloaded OCREngine software.

The User Utility is a software that runs in the system tray and monitors the Panasonic document scanner for errors and necessary maintenance.

The Feed Speed Utility is a software utility that changes the document scanner's paper feed speed. Slower paper feeding speed can help to reduce the possibility of a paper jam or a double feed when using thin paper, carbonless paper, etc.
