Q1 How do I connect multiple displays when using the Multi-Screen Setting? VF1H

When using the Multi-Screen Setting with multiple screens, you need to input the same video feed to each display.

• Connection example
Setup: Four displays
Video output device: Computer
Daisy-chain connection using DIGITAL LINK terminals

Output from single computer to HDMI, DVI-D, or DisplayPort → Connect to the HDMI terminal, DVI-D terminal, or DisplayPort terminal in response to the input signal → Connect from the DIGITAL LINK output of the first display to the DIGITAL LINK IN of the second display → In the same manner, connect the second display to the third display, and the third display to the fourth display.
Configure the display settings as follows:
First display: Set the Input Selection to HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D1, or DVI-D2 , depending on what equipment you are using.
"Initial settings" → Set "DIGITAL LINK OUT" to "Monitor out (Digital)", "HDMI", "DisplayPort", "DVI-D1" or "DVI-D2" which is receiving an input signal.
Second display onward: Set the Input Selection to "DIGITAL LINK".
"Initial settings" → Set "DIGITAL LINK OUT" to "DIGITAL LINK".

When not using a daisy-chain connection, prepare distributors, etc., and input the same video feed to each display separately.

* The multi-screen display can be set for a maximum of 100 displays ("Horizontal Magnification Rate" 10, "Vertical Magnification Rate" 10).

• Applicable model: TH-55VF1H

Q3 Can the display be positioned in the portrait setting? VF1H

Yes, it can be positioned in the portrait setting.
Be sure to install the power indicator on the bottom side for the VF1H Series (The power indicator is situated at the back.)

*With regard to mounting the display on a wall, please refer to Q.4, Q.5, Q.6, and Q.7 as well.

Q4 Can the setup hardware (TY-VK55LV1) be set vertically? VF1H

No, it cannot.

*With regard to mounting the display on a wall, please refer to Q.3, Q.5, Q.6, and Q.7 as well.

• Applicable model: TH-55VF1H

Q5 Is there a limitation on the maximum number of screens that can be mounted when using the mounting bracket (TY-VK55LV1)? VF1H

When using the TY-VK55LV1, the maximum number of screens that can be mounted is 30 (5 across and 6 down).

*With regard to mounting the display on a wall, please refer to Q.3, Q.4, Q.6, and Q.7 as well.

• Applicable model: TH-55VF1H

Q6 When using the Multi-Screen Setting, how far apart should the displays be spaced? VF1H

Q9 When I turn the power on for multiple displays, one or more of the displays does not start up. VF1H

In some cases, when powering multiple displays simultaneously, one or more of the displays does not start up because of insufficient power supply.
To address this, use the "Power on Screen Delay" function to set the timing of power supply delivery to each display separately.

• Configuring settings with the VF1H Series
Remote control SETUP button → On the Initial Settings menu, page 1 of 2, select "Power ON Operation: Delay" and set to "Auto" or freely set delay timing.

* When set to "Auto," the delay timing is determined automatically. It is determined by multiplying the ID number set as the displayID by 0.3 seconds.
Ex.: When the displayID is set to 3: 0.9 seconds
When the displayID is set to 10: 3 seconds

Q10 When using the Multi-Screen Setting with multiple displays, what should the surrounding temperature be? VF1H

Ventilate the area so that air can flow and the temperature in the periphery of equipment does not rise above 40°C.

• Applicable model: TH-55VF1H

Q11 What is the maximum number of displays in a daisy-chain connection? VF1H

Up to 10 displays can be connected, but the number of displays that will function properly in a daisy-chain connection may be smaller depending on the devices used.
With an HDCP signal input, the maximum number is eight.
However, in practice, the maximum number of displays varies depending on the devices used, etc.

• Applicable model: TH-55VF1H

Q12 When displaying a single picture large, on a two-screen multi-display (either two across or two down), how is the picture displayed? VF1H

With two displays side by side the picture is stretched horizontally, and with two displays, one on top of the other, the picture is stretched vertically.
If you are planning to display the picture in this fashion, it is necessary to prepare content that fits the screen aspect.
