Background of System Installation
Bright, vivid images designed to stimulate all five senses
The Singapore Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai tells the story of how the "Little Red Dot" dreams boldly beyond limits. Designed as an experiential journey to showcase how dreams are transformed into reality, the Singapore Pavilion invites visitors to engage with the space through multisensory storytelling, interactive installations, and immersive environments. The projections require high-performance equipment capable of faithfully reproducing content across the massive spherical ceiling screen, capturing every detail of its appeal. The diverse spatial productions and limited installation area made it difficult to use conventional projection methods, so flexible placement solutions were necessary.
Solution
Delivering immersive spatial experiences with Panasonic’s
wide-ranging projector lineup
To create a captivating, immersive experience, the pavilion employs a total of 21 high-brightness 1-chip DLP® laser projectors (15,000 lm and 12,000 lm models) for projections onto both the walls and the massive spherical screen. Blending technology enables seamless mapping across the spherical screen, delivering a borderless and dynamic immersive space. For the unique overhead tree effect, ET-DLE035 ultra-short-throw lenses ensure vivid close-range projection, even within the pavilion’s limited installation space. Operational stability is ensured with Panasonic’s Remote Managed Service, which remotely monitors projector statuses and enables swift responses to any issues that may arise.
System Details
High-brightness projection for a realistic immersive space
For the wall projections, the pavilion employs one PT-REQ15L and four PT-REQ12L 1-chip DLP® laser projectors. Paired with zoom lenses, these projectors enable short-distance projection, producing magnificent large-scale visuals even within the densely packed art installation. For the dome mapping across the spherical screen, 15 PT-REQ12L 1-chip DLP® laser projectors are used in tandem for seamless projection. Blending technology enables seamless mapping, delivering a borderless and dynamic immersive space. Singapore's efforts to transform the city's shared vision of a better tomorrow are brought to life.
—expressed through animation and text—is brought to life in vividly beautiful 4K resolution, with striking color and clarity.

Vivid projections bring to life the immersive animated films by Finding Pictures, a creative animation studio based in Singapore. These projected films bring together the art installations Paving Paradise by Melissa Tan, and Living with Nature by Ashley Yeo, creating a seamless, storytelling experience.
Mirror-type ultra-short-throw lenses deliver stunning visuals,
regardless of installation constraints.
The climactic wall scene is illuminated by the PT-REQ15L projector,
which delivers 15,000 lm of brightness.
Flexible solutions for limited installation spaces
Due to the space constraints on site, the unique overhead rear projection tree effect called for vertically mounted projectors with specialised lenses that were suspended from the ceiling within a confined installation area. This challenge was overcome with PT-RQ7L 1-chip DLP® laser projectors paired with ET-DLE035 ultra-short-throw lenses, enabling vivid and brilliant projection in tight spaces. The Dream Creation Stations requires vivid short-distance projection within a compact space for visitors to input their dreams onto the surfaces of the discs. Energy efficiency is also key, requiring a high-performance projector with low power consumption. This was achieved with eight PT-MZ782 LCD laser projectors paired with ET-ELT22 zoom lenses, delivering vivid, high-contrast visuals while maintaining energy efficiency.

At the Dream Repository, visitors are invited to create and share their dreams at the Dream Creation Stations,
which are then projected onto the sphere at Level 3.
Eight PT-MZ782 projectors are installed overhead and paired with cameras for synchronized projection effects.
Hand movements are tracked by cameras,
allowing projectors to display the text on the tables.

15 PT-REQ12L projectors work in unison with blending technology to create seamless, borderless dome mapping.
Visitors' dreams culminate into the 360-degree projection show that celebrates a shared vision for a better tomorrow.
Projector performance is continuously monitored through Panasonic’s Remotely Managed Service.
