Panasonic slots are compatible with the Intel® SDM specification
Panasonic offers displays and projectors that are compatible with the Intel® SDM specification, a next-generation slot standard that supports 4K signals.
In addition to the fixed input/output interface, the slot can be used to add optional and third party function boards*, and can be utilized for a wide range of applications such as signage, information displays in companies and schools, and entertainment. The interface board is inserted into the slot, so it does not affect the installation layout.
What is Intel® SDM?
- 4K compatible next-generation slot standard provided by Intel® "Intel® Smart Display Module (Intel® SDM)".
- There are two standards, Intel® SDM Small (Intel® SDM-S) and Intel® SDM Large (Intel® SDM-L), and our supported models are compatible with both types.
Advantages of Intel® SDM?
- No need for external players or signal conversion devices.
- No need to wire power cables, video cables, etc., allowing for a neat and tidy layout with just the display.
- System flexibility. Depending on the application, different functions can be added by replacing the function board.
- Third party function boards* can be used.
* The transmission method to the slot must be by HDMI™ signal.
